Grabs for coal and cokes
Verstegen coal grabs are the most productive coal grabs in the world. Due to the low dead weight, the grabs can have very high payloads. Verstegen coal grabs can be delivered for crane capacities up to 85 ton and grab capacities up to 60 M³.
Grabs for ores and minerals
Most ores and minerals are heavy, abrasive and difficult to penetrate. Therefore these bulk materials require a different designed grab than other materials.
Enclosed grabs for environmentally friendly unloading
For fine, light and free flowing materials we recommend the use of grabs with enclosed, environmentally friendly scales. The enclosed scales minimise material loss and pollution of the environment.
Cactus grabs
Materials like shredded scrap, HMS, rocks, boulders, wood chips, etc. are practically impossible to penetrate with normal clamshell grabs. For these materials you need our cactus or orange peel grabs.
Trimming grabs
For heavy and large-lumped materials a Verstegen trimming grab is the most efficient solution. Trimming grabs are used to handle coarse materials like stones, ferro-chrome, pig iron, DRI and HBI. Also with lumpy bauxite and lumpy ores, the grabs give very good results.
Single rope grabs
A special grab in the extensive range of products is the Verstegen single rope grab, specially designed for ship board cranes. The grabs can be connected to any crane. The only thing to do is to hook the grab on a crane with sufficient lift capacity and your grab is ready for operation.
